Two young women share the name Dao, but their experiences of being noticed could hardly be more different. After the more visible Dao dies, the other finds herself able to return to their school years with an opportunity to change what happened. Saving someone requires more than knowing that disaster lies ahead: it means approaching a person she once watched from a distance and finding the courage to remain beside her. The announced romance uses time travel to make hesitation consequential, placing a second chance alongside the fear of repeating silence. Its premise asks what a person would do differently if given another opportunity to act on feelings she once concealed, and whether changing another woman's future also requires changing her own understanding of herself.
