The Wall

Synopsis

Eva and Hope are spending their final night in the home they have shared as a couple. With the relationship newly ended, familiar rooms have become difficult to inhabit without confronting the separation. Eva decides to paint the living-room wall in the middle of the night, treating a practical change as a way to begin claiming the space for herself. Hope insists on helping, turning the project into another occasion for the intimacy and friction neither can fully put aside. The short film follows the awkward overlap between breaking up and continuing to act as people who know each other well. Paint, labor, and exhaustion give physical form to the question of how a shared home becomes one person's life again.
