Synopsis

Mitsuki has kept her attraction to her best friend Umi private, maintaining a familiar closeness that feels valuable even when it does not offer the relationship she wants. During a visit to an onsen, Umi's conversation about her romantic life makes the unspoken imbalance harder for Mitsuki to ignore. The shared setting brings physical proximity and emotional distance into uncomfortable contact. The short film follows a moment when friendship's apparent ease is interrupted by feelings one person has been working to conceal. Mitsuki must decide how to respond without knowing whether speaking would create understanding or damage the bond she already has. Her experience asks whether remaining a trusted listener can become painful when every disclosure from the other person seems to confirm how differently they understand the same intimacy.
