My Only Sunshine

Synopsis

Sun is building an acting career while carrying a long-standing attraction to Rafah, a successful executive who is also her best friend's older sister. The familiar connection between their lives makes pursuit possible without making Rafah's response easy to understand. As Sun becomes more visible professionally, public speculation about her relationships introduces pressures that neither woman can manage entirely in private. Jealousy and concealed feelings complicate an already uncertain romance. The story follows the difficulty of separating the person someone knows from the image circulated around her, especially when work depends on being watched. Sun and Rafah must negotiate whether their relationship can be defined through direct understanding rather than rumors, assumptions, and the history that makes each new development feel personally consequential.
