Heavy Snow

Synopsis

Su-an studies acting at an arts high school and feels isolated until Seol, an already recognizable teenage performer, arrives. Their immediate connection deepens during an impulsive journey to Seoul, creating a romance that briefly seems capable of moving beyond the circumstances surrounding them. Misunderstanding and separation interrupt that possibility, leaving the relationship emotionally unfinished. Years later, their acting ambitions and private lives have carried them through different experiences, but Su-an's return to her hometown and its winter sea brings the attachment back into focus. The film follows longing across time rather than treating the original encounter as a completed adolescent episode. Its women must confront the difference between the person remembered and the person who may still exist beyond that memory.
