Synopsis

Martha performs in a pub, dresses confidently, and appears comfortable with an ordinary routine that conceals an enduring attachment. Meeting Mandy, her first love, reopens a possibility she has carried for thirty years. Learning that Mandy's husband has died encourages Martha to imagine a renewed relationship, but the time between them has produced lives that cannot simply be set aside. Their reunion requires rediscovering the person behind the memory rather than assuming that old desire supplies present understanding. The film follows later-life romance with attention to both longing and the awkwardness of beginning again. Martha must decide how to approach a woman she has never entirely forgotten, while accepting that another chance becomes meaningful only if Mandy is free to want it too.
