Ella

Synopsis

Ella begins a morning in Paris preparing for an audition that could alter the course of her acting career. Getting there involves ordinary decisions whose consequences do not appear equally important at first: which route to take, whom to stop for, and whether to follow an unexpected encounter. The short film allows these choices to open different possibilities around the same anticipated event. An old romantic connection and a meeting with an unfamiliar woman make the journey more than a practical problem of arriving on time. Ella's morning becomes a way of considering how a life can be redirected through decisions that feel minor while they are happening. The story follows the uncertainty between planning a future and discovering what becomes possible when the plan is interrupted.
