Denied Love

Synopsis

Praenarin is struggling with the aftermath of being abandoned by the woman she loved when her father presents her with a condition for becoming company director. She must marry Khemjira, the younger daughter of his close friend. For Praenarin, the arrangement begins as an obligation connected to the future she wants at work, not as a new chance at love. She insists that she will never return Khemjira’s feelings. Khemjira, however, does not abandon the hope that their marriage might become something genuine. Her patience places a different possibility beside Praenarin’s certainty that her heart is closed. The romance develops from the tension between a formal commitment imposed from outside and the much less controllable feelings that arise within it.
