Almost Lover

Synopsis

Jaeyoung and Soohyun once seemed close to becoming a couple, but their feelings never found a moment in which both were ready to act. After drifting apart, they meet again a year later at a social gathering involving drinks. Familiar bickering quickly returns, making the encounter feel both awkward and charged with an intimacy neither has fully put behind her. The short film follows a reunion whose significance depends on the unfinished story between them. Their present behavior raises questions about what prevented the relationship before and whether time has changed the answer. The women must negotiate the difference between returning to a familiar dynamic and genuinely offering each other another chance, while the history they share remains difficult to say aloud.
