A Guilty WomanHaru is early in her professional career when a business trip gives her unusually close contact with her supervisor Han-byul.
Haru is early in her professional career when a business trip gives her unusually close contact with her supervisor Han-byul. The attraction she experiences is unfamiliar, prompting her to seek advice from her lesbian friend Joo-hyun. Trying to understand Han-byul's sexuality becomes one way of approaching feelings Haru has not previously needed to examine. The short film follows the uncertainty of a first same-sex crush alongside the additional boundaries created by work. Professional attention can resemble personal interest without carrying the same intention, making interpretation difficult. Haru must consider both what she wants and what she can reasonably assume about another person, discovering that recognizing her own desire does not automatically reveal whether, or how, it might be returned.
