Synopsis

Alice turns twenty-seven while still living with her parents and relying on dreams to make an unsatisfying daily life feel more bearable. The distance between the adulthood she imagines and the one she inhabits becomes increasingly uncomfortable. After a psychedelic party on a factory rooftop, a drunken cycling accident interrupts her familiar pattern of escape. The animated short follows a woman whose imaginative world offers pleasure but may also postpone decisions she needs to make. Its premise does not assume that a birthday or a crisis automatically creates maturity. Instead, Alice's experience raises the question of what it would mean to take responsibility for changing her circumstances, and whether the freedom she seeks can be approached without disappearing further into fantasy.
